Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics Estimates

Annual OEWS release files provide employment and straight-time gross hourly and annual wage estimates by occupation for national, state, metropolitan/nonmetropolitan, and national-industry cohorts. BLS publishes the current May 2025 release, annual archives, coordinated OE text files and mapping dictionaries, and Public Data API delivery. Historical editions provide level observations, not an emitted growth rate; comparability requires release, geography, SOC/NAICS vintage, method, suppression, and pooled-sample controls.

Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses Public Data

Coordinated public BLS SOII product comprising the current Occupational Injuries and Illnesses Industry Data (IS) annual series, current Biennial Nonfatal Occupational Injuries and Illnesses Characteristics Data (CA) series, their code maps, BLS Public Data API delivery, and coordinated current summary/case XLSX tables. It publishes weighted nonfatal injury and illness counts and incidence rates by industry, ownership and national/state area; DART, DAFW, DJTR, other-recordable and illness categories; total hours and uncertainty where tabled; and biennial case/circumstance estimates by event/exposure, nature, source, part of body, occupation, worker cohort, duration and other coded dimensions. Annual summary estimates and biennial case estimates are distinct series within the one named SOII product, not separate Sources. Current 2024 summary tables use 2017 NAICS; current 2023–2024 case data use OIICS version 3 and 2018 SOC. Values are published estimates, not target-establishment histories; restricted respondent microdata are excluded.

Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages

Coordinated BLS QCEW public-data product publishing covered-establishment counts, monthly employment levels, quarterly and annual wage/contribution measures, average weekly wage and annual pay, location quotients, and over-year changes by industry, ownership, establishment size, and national/state/county/MSA or other published area. Area/industry CSV endpoints, quarterly and annual single-file ZIPs, title dictionaries, annual editions, and viewer tables are delivery/version surfaces of this one Source. The latest checked 2025 files are preliminary under the BLS lifecycle until finalization with the subsequent year’s first-quarter release; files do not emit a row-level release timestamp, seasonal-adjustment field, or immutable revision-vintage identifier. Employment levels represent covered jobs, not unique persons, and published wage/contribution fields must not be relabeled as a generic payroll field.

American Time Use Survey Public Use Microdata

Coordinated BLS public-use microdata files for the American Time Use Survey. The selected core schema combines the 2003-2024 Activity, Respondent, Roster, Who, Activity Summary and ATUS-CPS files with the 2011-2024 Eldercare Roster. It emits 24-hour diary activities and minutes, pooled six-digit activity/lexicon codes, secondary-childcare and eldercare time, respondent and household cohorts, final/base weights, diary date/day and survey year, and released CPS geography. BLS says identifying information is removed before publication. Use final weights for nationally representative estimates and preserve survey-year, weighting-method, edited/allocation, universe, and activity-lexicon changes. Do not claim state/local estimates or replacement dollar values.
