Surface water classification
The observed categorical or binary surface-water state of a location or raster cell, distinct from a flood anomaly or depth estimate.
Sources that carry it
2 sourcesOpen Level-3 scene product generated from Harmonized Landsat-8 and Sentinel-2 surface reflectance. Each MGRS/UTM tile is distributed as ten 30 m Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF layers, including interpreted water and binary-water classifications plus exact sensing, processing, product-version, and software-version metadata. This is observed surface-water classification, not a flood anomaly or water-depth product: class 1 is open water and class 2 is partial surface water (at least 20% and less than 100% open water).
