DOB NOW: Safety – Facades Compliance Filings
Official NYC Open Data dataset and SODA API listing façade compliance filings submitted in DOB NOW: Safety. Records resolve to buildings through BIN, street address, and borough/block/lot and carry filing cycle/type, inspection and filing dates, current/filing/prior status, QEWI and owner details, penalties, comments, and exterior-wall type/material. The programme applies to New York City properties higher than six stories and requires a licensed Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector to perform the critical examination and file the technical report. Consequently, SAFE, SWARMP, and UNSAFE are inspection-derived authority filing classifications, not direct observations made by DOB. The dataset does not provide structured defect location/detail, repair completion, correction status, photos, or a row-level publication vintage.
