Defense counsel rate benchmarks

The coordinated annual report series publishes actual-paid outside-counsel hourly-rate levels and percentiles by geography, practice area, firm/timekeeper tier, and fee arrangement. Its historical methodology explicitly discusses insurance commodity-defense work, while also warning that all litigation is grouped regardless of dispute nature; it therefore supplies useful defense-rate context but not a defense-side-specific cohort.
